De Boog is a remarkable residential development in Maaspoort, Den Bosch, designed to celebrate its riverside location with a series of modern apartment buildings and houses, all strategically positioned to capture stunning views of the water. The focal point of this urban plan is an iconic, gently curved apartment building that embraces the river’s edge, creating a fluid, dynamic silhouette that stands out against the skyline. This curved building reaches its peak height in a striking glass tower at the Maasboulevard, acting as both a visual landmark and the gateway to the area.<\/p>\n

Architecturally, De Boog is defined by its symmetry and rhythm, balanced with touches of intentional asymmetry to create a sense of movement and visual interest. The central curved building is split into two mirrored, symmetrical sections divided by a main axis\u2014a guiding line that enhances the building’s sense of balance. The only departure from this symmetry is the tower element on the Maasboulevard, which introduces a playful, asymmetrical accent. The supporting apartment buildings are arranged as twin pairs, each consisting of two towers set on a shared base, creating a harmonious rhythm along the riverfront. These twin structures are aligned in a row, facing the water to capture the view and reinforce the riverside atmosphere of the site. The lower four floors of these towers connect smoothly with a series of three-story houses nearby, establishing a cohesive architectural flow that ties the entire neighborhood together.<\/p>\n

Built along a protective dyke, every apartment in De Boog is designed to benefit from an elevated perspective over the river. The main curved structure is divided into two L-shaped brick volumes that frame a series of layered terraces, arranged in a unique “pipe organ” formation with glass and concrete elements.
